Features

Everything you need to track vendor insurance. Nothing you don't.

CoverTrack does one job: tells you which subcontractors and suppliers have the cover you require, and which don't. Here's how.

Requirements

Set the cover each type of vendor needs

Build requirement rule sets in UK insurance terms and link each one to a vendor type. Vendors without a specific rule set fall back to your account default.

  • Public liability, employers' liability, professional indemnity, products liability, motor / fleet and other cover
  • Minimum limits in pounds: each occurrence, each claim or aggregate
  • Optional checks for indemnity to principal, waiver of subrogation, primary and non-contributory wording and per-project aggregate
  • UK starter templates, with employers' liability at the £5m statutory minimum

Certificate reading

Reads UK broker letters, so you don't have to

Upload the broker confirmation letter, policy schedule or certificate a vendor sends. CoverTrack's AI pulls out the details that matter and is cautious about anything it can't read clearly.

  • PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 10 MB
  • Low-confidence results are marked 'needs review' instead of being guessed
  • Checks the insured name matches the vendor and spots certificates that are out of date
  • Previous certificates stay in each vendor's history

What CoverTrack reads

  • Insured name
  • Insurer
  • Policy number
  • Cover types
  • Limits of indemnity
  • Start and expiry dates

Compliance checks

Exceptions with a clear severity

Every certificate is checked against the vendor's requirements by a rules engine, the same way every time. You see what was required, what the certificate says and how serious the gap is.

  • Critical: required cover missing, cover expired, or a limit below your minimum
  • Major: required wording not confirmed, or an expiry date that isn't stated
  • Minor: cover expiring within 30 days

Dashboard

One view of who is covered and who isn't

The dashboard counts compliant vendors, cover expiring in the next 30 days, exceptions, certificates pending review and vendors with no certificate, then lists what needs attention first.

  • Expiry tracking across every vendor
  • Stale certificates flagged (older than about 13 months by default)
  • Works on your phone as well as your desktop

Vendors

Every subcontractor and supplier in one list

Keep vendor details, types, contacts and references together, with each vendor's compliance status beside their name.

  • Group vendors by type, such as subcontractor, facilities supplier or consultant
  • Mark vendors active, inactive or archived
  • Open any vendor to see its certificates and exceptions

Forward certificates by email

A forwarding address for your account, so certificates can be emailed straight into CoverTrack and read automatically. Not available yet; for now, upload certificates from each vendor's page.

What CoverTrack doesn't do

CoverTrack checks the certificates you upload against the requirements you set. It doesn't confirm policy status with insurers or brokers, and it doesn't provide insurance or legal advice.
