Certificates arrive in every format
Broker letters, policy schedules, scanned PDFs, photos from a phone. Someone has to read each one and copy the limits and dates across.
For UK main contractors
Every subcontractor owes you a current public liability and employers' liability certificate, and some owe more. CoverTrack reads the broker letters they send, checks them against the cover your subcontracts require, and shows you who has a gap.

Sound familiar?
Collecting certificates is the easy bit. Keeping on top of limits, expiry dates and the small print across dozens of subcontractors is where the spreadsheet falls over.
Broker letters, policy schedules, scanned PDFs, photos from a phone. Someone has to read each one and copy the limits and dates across.
Your subcontract asks for £5m public liability; the certificate says £2m. It's easy to miss when you're skimming a stack of letters.
Employers' liability renews on its own date, not yours. Without a running view of expiry dates, lapsed cover only surfaces when something goes wrong.
How CoverTrack helps
Set your requirements once per type of subcontractor, upload certificates as they come in, and let CoverTrack do the reading and checking.
Requirements per trade
Create rule sets for groundworks, electrical, scaffolding or anyone else, with the minimum limits each one needs. Anyone without a specific rule set falls back to your account default.
Reads UK broker letters
CoverTrack pulls out the insurer, policy number, cover types, limits and expiry dates. If it isn't confident about a detail, it marks the certificate for your review rather than guessing.
Flags gaps by severity
Missing cover, expired cover and limits below your minimum show as critical. Indemnity to principal or waiver of subrogation not confirmed shows as major. Cover expiring within 30 days shows as minor.
One list of who to chase
The dashboard shows compliant, expiring, exceptions, pending review and no certificate at a glance, so you know exactly which subcontractors to call.

FAQ
No. CoverTrack reads the certificate or broker letter you upload and checks what it says against the requirements you've set. It doesn't contact insurers or brokers, so if something looks off, confirm it with the subcontractor or their broker.
Yes. Requirements are set as rule sets linked to a vendor type (for example 'Scaffolding'), with an account default for everyone else.
You can require indemnity to principal, waiver of subrogation, primary and non-contributory wording or a per-project aggregate. UK certificates often don't state these, so CoverTrack flags them as 'not confirmed' for you to follow up rather than assuming either way.
Not yet. For now you upload the certificate your subcontractor or their broker sends you. Forwarding certificates to CoverTrack by email is coming soon.
CoverTrack checks the certificates you upload against the requirements you set. It doesn't confirm policy status with insurers or brokers, and it doesn't provide insurance or legal advice.
